Biography

Kyungsu Kim received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. He was awarded the distinguished M.S. degree dissertation award. He obtained his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he was a postdoctoral AI/ML researcher at the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at KAIST (ranked 5th in the world and 1st in Asia for CS/AI in 2021). From 2020 to 2022, he served as a senior AI/ML research engineer at the Medical AI Research Center, Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. Between 2021 and 2023, he was a research professor at the Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. From 2023 to 2024, he worked as a postdoctoral AI/ML research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Since 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor at Seoul National University (SNU).
