Biography

Kyungsu Kim received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, graduating with distinction in his undergraduate studies and receiving the Distinguished M.S. Dissertation Award. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Korea, in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at KAIST, which was ranked 5th globally in Computer Science/AI in 2021. From 2020 to 2022, he served as a Principal Investigator (PI) Researcher at the Medical AI Research Center at Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. Concurrently, from 2021 to 2023, he held a joint appointment as a Research Professor at the Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine. From 2023 to 2024, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in AI/ML at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Since 2024, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Seoul National University (SNU). He has recently published over 30 papers in top-tier AI conferences and journals, including the top five AI conferences: CVPR, NeurIPS, ICLR, ECCV, and ICCV.
